Finance Department Mission Since being formed in 1995, the Finance Department's prime focus has been to create financial processing structures reflective of a full service, $48 million City government. This has involved the blending of two separate financial environments, the former Hudson Township and the City of Hudson Village, into one cohesive organization. Policies and procedures were designed and implemented to insure City compliance with the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) regulations, Ohio Revised Code (ORC), and City Charter provisions. The Department is responsive to individuals both inside and outside the Hudson community by disseminating financial information in easily understood terms.Operational Statement The Finance Department is responsible for receiving, accounting for and investing all City revenue, processing payments to City's vendors and processing payroll for the approximately 162 City employees. The City's main source of revenue is income tax, property tax, state and county taxes, utility receipts and investment income. The Department processes over 4,500 vendor checks, 4,300 payroll checks and 75,000 utility bills on an annual basis. Click here to learn more about the utilities available within the City of Hudson.
