Urban Forestry The mission of the Hudson Arborist is to provide a high quality urban forestry program to the community, in conjunction with expert advice on private tree care. The Arborist cares for City trees within the road right-of-way, as well as the regular line clearance tree trimming program for safety and electrical reliability. The City of Hudson urban forest includes more than 14,000 trees in the public right-of-way, with thousands more in public parks, green spaces and on private lots. A healthy and safe urban forest includes: wildlife variety, higher property values, air and water quality, storm water management, moderation of summer and winter extremes, and quality of human health.
