Hudson Emergency Medical Services
The Hudson Emergency Medical Service is celebrating more than 25 years
of service to the Hudson community. Staffed predominately by community
volunteers and supported by a staff of full and part time career personnel,
EMS provides full advanced life support transport ambulance service to
the City of Hudson. Covering 25 square miles and a population of 23,000
people, EMS responds to approximately 1,500 emergency "911"
calls per year.
Hudson EMS has state-of-the-art equipment, including three transporting
ambulances and two paramedic rapid response vehicles, new technology biphasic
twelve lead cardiac monitor/defibrillators, and a full range of advanced
airway and trauma care equipment.
Hudson Fire Department
The Hudson Fire Department is a largely volunteer department that preserves
and protects the lives and property of the community by providing the
following services:
- Fire suppression and the rescue of victims
- Public education on fire safety
- Code enforcement during construction and throughout
the life cycle of the building, including fire and arson
investigation
- Rescue from vehicle entrapment, building collapse and
water rescue
- Hazardous materials management
Hudson Police
The mission for every member of the Hudson Police Department is to continuously
provide a superior level of quality service and to consistently strive
to seek and find, in an unrelenting, dedicated, and committed fashion,
the ways and means to affirmatively promote, preserve, and enhance the
safety, security, and overall quality of life within the community.
