The City now offers paperless billing for customers that no longer want to receive a paper bill in the mail.  Instead, you will receive your utility bill via email which is more environmentally friendly and cost effective way of billing.

Before you begin, you will need your City of Hudson Utility Account #.  It is located on the monthly utility bill you receive from the City. 

Click on the “NEW” above to enter the Online Access.  In order to establish you paperless billing, you will first need to click on the “Register” box.  You will need to enter your Account # and Zip Code (44236).  Fill in the requested information including Username, Password and the Email Address you want your bill to be sent. 

Once you have registered you will begin receiving an email bill starting with the next billing cycle.

The City of Hudson offers water, sewer and electric utility service for a portion of the City. There are also privately-owned utility companies as well as other governmental agencies that provide utility services within Hudson.

Below is a link that will help you determine if a property is part of the City of Hudson utility system. When you click on the link, enter the address you would like to view. The utility information listed is Water, Sewer and Electric and either “City of Hudson” or “Other Entity”. “City of Hudson” means the City provides that particular utility for that address; “Other Entity” means the City does not provide that particular utility for that address; it may be provided by a private company or another governmental agency.

If the property indicates "Other Entity" under any utility service, please check with the following non-City utility companies to see if the service is available at the address you are researching:

Application for Utility Services

The City requires new customers complete an Application for Utility Services to activate an account. New customers can bring the completed form to the Utility Billing Department or mail it to the address below. Click here for the application form.

The City of Hudson Utility Billing Department is located on the first floor of the Municipal Building located at 27 East Main Street, Hudson, OH 44236 [MAP]. The department is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (with the exception of major holidays). The following services are provided here for your convenience:

  • Accept payments for all City of Hudson utilities (Water, Sewer and Electric)
  • Accept applications for all City utility services
  • Answer general utility billing questions
  • Maintain a payment drop box that is attached to the building at the front door

Bill and Payment Options

The City of Hudson bills on a monthly basis with payments due the 10th of every month. The City of Hudson Utility Customers may pay their bill in the following manner:

  • In person at the Utility Billing Office located on the first floor of the Municipal Building at 27 East Main Street [MAP]
  • By mailing payment in the return envelope provided with the monthly statement.
  • Automatic Bank Draft (ACH/EFT) - Monthly charges automatically deducted from your checking/savings account on due date of bill. Click on the following link for the Automatic Bank Draft form [ACH form]

Responsibility for Owners of Leased Property:

Section 1050.05 of Hudson’s Codified Ordinance establishes responsibility for City-owned utilities for owners of leased property. Please click on the following link for the requirements [link to Ordinance]. As noted in the Ordinance, there is an acknowledgement form required to be signed by the property owner [link to form].
